Christmas Event held at James Street Church

On the 19th of December, WICT and St Marys and Kingsland Action Group arranged a Christmas event at James Street Church.

The event was for St Mary’s local residents. Around 60 local residents attended and were served a delicious Christmas meal. The locals were able to socialise with their fellow neighbours.

Whilst eating the meal, children from St Mary’s Primary School sang Christmas carols for them. This is an example of one of the ongoing partnerships St Mary’s local Conversation looks to develop with other organisations, and charities within St Mary’s.

The event was a great success and very popular. Alex Ivancevic, WICT’s Community Organiser commented, “We love seeing the difference these events make to people in the community. It’s a great feeling knowing we can help bring people together and help them build relationships moving forward. We hope to hold many future events that make a positive impact.”
