Benefits of membership
Becoming a member of the Trust is free. There is no joining fee and members can enjoy the following benefits.
The Trust will:
- Work closely with members to fulfil the Trust’s mission and Vision
- Provide a strong voice for members within the West Itchen area of Southampton, thus enabling members to be ‘heard’ in the right places.
- Canvass opinion and act as a forum to enable members to share ideas and information that may be of mutual benefit.
- Act as a provider of information for members wishing to locate, and gain contacts within, other community organisations and groups.
- Help members to develop projects and to bid for funds from sources other than the Trust. In the future the Trust hopes to be a modest provider of grant funding to members whose aims and purpose follow the Trust’s Vision.
- Keep members aware of any changes, progress and updates of other member organisations and the regeneration of the West Itchen area.
- Enable members to get a 30% discount on part-time course fees at Southampton Institute of Higher Education, subject to normal entry requirements and proof of valid Trust membership.
- Enable members to get a 25% discount of tuition fees for part-time courses at Southampton City College, subject to normal entry requirements and proof of valid Trust membership. Terms and conditions apply.
