Universal Jobmatch to cease in June

 

Universal Jobmatch (UJ) will cease on 17th June 2018 and will not be accessible from 17th June onwards.

 

Therefore claimants using (UJ) should be advised to save any information they may need going forward – mainly their CVs. They will need to copy & paste CV to either Word document or into their emails.

 

How to register on the new Find A Job site?

 

The site has been designed in line with other job search sites and therefore to register all claimants need is email and password. No more gateway ID.

DWP Work Coaches will not have access to claimant accounts.

 

There will be 5 Tabs on the home page: Activity, Your CVs, Your Email Alerts, Your Favourite Jobs and Manage Account.

 

Forgot password? This is added to the right hand side of the sign in page and only requires an email to reset this.

 

Fully mobile phone functional – there is no separate App. The site has been designed to be used across all devices – tablets, laptops, desktop and mobiles.

 

Upload up to 5 CVs – there is no “public” or “private” concept on this site. CVs are private and get attached to job submissions. Individual needs to ensure attaching appropriate CV to job application.

 

No Covering letter – When applying for a job, the applicant will be required to complete an Application Message which is free text box for them to write (or copy and paste from a saved document) covering letter. This is the same as Indeed.

 

Activity Tab: Will have 3 tabs Job Views / Searches / Applications (plus a print page option). Application submissions will be tracked. It will show if they applied “on site” “employer website” or “by phone” on their Application History (it tracks the submission button, not that they actually did the subsequent action of applying on the employer’s site or making the call).

 

Email Alerts – claimants can set up as many different email alerts as they like, and receive them daily or weekly. It is easy to delete an email alert no longer wanted. In this tab all alerts are saved, with a “Delete” option next to it!

 

Your Favourites – Jobs saved for the individual to go back and look at and apply when have more time

 

Manage Accounts – Change password, Delete Account (no recovery if deleted, once gone it’s gone).

 

Help & Advice – Contains information about Disability Confident.

 

Acceptable Policy covers Cookies and Privacy

 

Interactive – will have videos. Has a “Contact Us” option which is submitted electronically via this option.

 

Apply for a Job – The candidate supplied their Email, adds appropriate CV and completes “cover letter” in the Application Message. They have the option to receive a copy of the application via email.

 

Day 1 Conditionality – It will remain Day 1 Conditionality that an individual must register on a job site and upload a CV – however, it does not have to be on Find A Job. If the individual has already registered on a suitable job site, and uploaded their CV prior to your first meeting, they will be classed as meeting Day 1 Conditionality. If they have not done this then the Work Coach will decide if Find a Job or another site is more appropriate.
