What is it?

  • Free for 16 to 24 year olds. Not in Full-time education or work (Over 16 hours) & hasn’t already attained a full level 3 qualification.
  • FREE Level 1 & 2 Swim England assisting/teaching qualification + optional free NPLQ (Lifeguard qualification)!
  • Work preparation Level 1 workshop + Maths & English upskilling for those that need it
  • Complete 100 hours of unpaid quality work experience, completed over/up to 16 weeks.
  • You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, just passionate to work in the industry!

 

What else?

  • Travel help for those that need it
  • DBS checks are all paid for! Previous conviction? This will be case by case, as you will be working with vulnerable people.
  • You might qualify for a financial weekly bursary up ÂŁ50 per week.
  • Free full membership to the Quays during the course.

 

Progression Opportunity?

  • The Quays are low on swim teacher and are in need of recruitment! Level 2 Teachers start at ÂŁ13.62 per hour.
  • NPLQ included to help make-up additional hours if wanting to make the role full-time
  • If you are already associated with a Swimming complex/organisation and want to complete your 100 hours there, then you can!
  • Alternatively to the above, the Quay are also looking to recruit some apprentices in either a Lifeguard role, Customer Service, Fitness or a combination of all 3!

Planning Meeting for 1st Unity Cricket Festival

7pm Monday at The Ageas Bowl, Botley Rd, West End, Southampton SO30 3XH. This meeting is for all the people who have registered their interest with Unity 101 previously and for those who love or play cricket, to attend. The meeting will allow attendees to find out about the day’s schedule and the festival and how it takes place.

No Limits Trading Tea and Toast Networking event

Starting at 8 am, Tuesday 26th March – toast and hot drinks will be available at 35 The Avenue, Southampton SO17 1XN, until 9:30 am.
