Join the Derby Run


Run, Jog or Walk the Derby Run 


A free run or walk of 1 or 2 miles (for different abilities), get a free health check and medal winners will also get a treat!


Unity 101 Community Radio’s first ever Derby Run will take place on Sunday 19th August from 10am – 12noon.


It is a free event for all Bevois Ward residents. The route starts and finishes outside Maytree School. Register at the Health Zone at the Ropewalk Centre car park.


Ram Kalyan, Project organizer and Station Manager of Unity 101 said


“Bringing people together, learning about each other and creating a good neighbourhood will inevitably create a good community. We’re delighted to have initiated this project.”

Derby Road will be closed on Sunday the 19th August and a running or walking track will be created.

Samaritans Brew Monday

Samaritans works with the armed forces to spot and support those who may be struggling with their mental health.This January they’re encouraging serving personnel, veterans and families to support ‘Brew Monday’ and beat the January blues.
