‘I am Southampton Art Exhibition’ recognises many Southampton community contributors

Unity Arts have created a photographic exhibition featuring people that have helped Asian, Black and Minority Ethnic communities settle in Southampton.

 

The exhibition was launched On Sunday the 10th of September at 4pm.  All the photographs were taken by Nidhish Sodha and acknowledge people who have helped this multi-racial city create communities, with in the greater community of Southampton.  These are not people that claim fame or recognition for what they have done, which is why they are feature in our exhibition.

 

“I am humbled and honoured to be included in this first photographer exhibition” said Jo Ash.

 

Ram Kalyan “Kelly” curator of Unity Arts said “By acknowledging people who have done so much for so many people, it has paved the way for all us to lead and live a happy life today in Southampton”  

 

This FREE exhibition was on for 30 days and came to end on 7th October 2017.
