Drop in support for asylum seekers and refugees at The Avenue Multicultural Centre

10am to 2pm Fridays

at Avenue St Andrew’s Church, The Avenue, Southampton SO17 1XQ

The Avenue Multicultural Centre is a partnership between the British Red Cross, CLEAR project, Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group and Avenue St Andrew’s United Reformed Church.

It is a drop-in centre which gives a warm welcome to all asylum seekers and refugees.   The centre offers a range of professional advice and practical assistance particularly focussed on the needs of asylum seekers. It gives users access to sporting and recreational activities and offers a community café that is just the place to meet, find a friendly face and a cup of tea.   There is access to free food bags and a monthly clothing stall, as well as offering limited financial help for those who are destitute.

You will have access to confidential advice from Red Cross caseworkers and CLEAR advisors who can refer you to the SWVG befriending service.
