Acorn Business Park – One Year On & Growing from Strength to Strength

A year after opening to business, the Acorn Business Park on Empress Road, is a thriving hub of activity.

Acorn is currently home to businesses including new property development company Quaystone and local flooring specialists KHR.

Property Manager Suzanne Longhurst explains, “The centre has already supported 15 businesses and was the launchpad for firms such as growing marine and chandlery supplier Orsamarine.

Acorn Business Park offers small units especially suitable to new and small enterprises. This includes electricians EGH and the Lexa Group, as well as Homarium – the leading supplier of lobster tanks & moulariums in the UK.

Creative ventures are also growing fast. Craft and artisan businesses resident in Acorn workshop units include The Bead Shop and talented sculpter & artist Tom Sibbick.”

Rick Harwood CEO at WICT says

When West Itchen Community Trust opened the redeveloped centre in 2016, we had high hopes for Acorn to improve the area by offering modern facilities and attracting new business.

We are incredibly proud of the progress we have made.”

If you have just had your rent increased, it might be time to re-assess:

Acorn Business Park has units suitable to small business available now
